Dr. Oren Weiner

psychologist

Dr. Oren Weiner is a clinical psychologist who received his Ph.D. from Concordia University. He obtained his clinical training across university, hospital, and private practice settings, and he completed his pre-doctoral internship with the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC).

Dr. Weiner’s therapeutic style is, first and foremost, person-centered. He harnesses the power of a supportive and empathic relationship to provide a safe space for individuals to express themselves, explore concerns, and try out new ways of thinking. His approach is integrative and flexible, drawing from principles of cognitive-behavioural (CBT), psychodynamic, and emotion-focused therapies.

Dr. Weiner provides individual psychotherapy to adults. He received extensive training in addressing problems with anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem, as well as in specialized CBT approaches for obsessive-compulsive disorder and for insomnia. He also has experience helping individuals navigate relationship problems, past trauma, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, and major life-stage transitions (e.g., approaching parenthood, grief and loss).

Dr. Weiner’s work aims to help individuals make positive changes in their lives through honest self-understanding, modifying patterns of relating to themselves and others, reducing avoidance, and reconnecting with emotions and inner strengths.
Dr. Weiner is a current member of L’Ordre des Psychologues du Québec (Permit #15349-24).
